An outreach programme aimed to assist stakeholders of textile MSMEs was held in capital today.
An outreach programme for MSMEs was held in capital on Wednesday. This programme aimed to assist stakeholders in facilitating the support announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi under 100 days programme.
The 100 days programme was launched by the Prime Minister to provide support to the ailing Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) last year on November 2 by identifying 100 districts in various sectors across the country.
Various activities have been organised and conducted under 100 days’ outreach programme such as organising camps along with local banks for Mudra loan, listing beneficiaries of ‘e-dhaga’, distributing tool kits to beneficiaries, distribution of Pehchan card to artisans; providing quality certification; and enhancing social security for them.
Among the 39 districts nominated under textile sector, 12 were listed for handloom, 8 for power loom, and 19 for handicraft. An official statement said, “The MSME focused outreach programme will give a boost to the man-made fiber (MMF) textile manufacturing units in textile hubs like Gujarat, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu and Uttar Pradesh.”
