Jammu and Kashmir Government Advertises 550 Posts of Junior Staff Nurses

The J and K government on Friday released the vacancies for 550 posts of junior staff nurses.

The Jammu and Kashmir government is increasing the recruitment of staff for newly set up five medical colleges in the state, officials said. The government on Friday released the vacancies for 550 posts of junior staff nurses.

Earlier, the government had announced 1,235 posts for the same position. There are four medical colleges currently in the state, out of which two are located in the Kashmir valley and other two are in the Jammu Division.

Few new medical colleges are being set up in Doda, Baramulla, Anantnag and Rajouri districts because of which the number of seats for MBBS course will also increase by 500. In addition to 550 posts of junior staff nurses, the services selection board also opened 221 posts.

Out of these 221 posts, 183 positions are for junior assistants and 38 are for junior scale stenographers, told Malik Suhail, PRO for the board. The applications for these positions can be submitted at the board’s portal and filling of forms for it will begin from March 6.
