UP Board to Declare Results in April 2019

The results for Uttar Pradesh Board of High School and Intermediate Education are expected to be released before April 20.

Uttar Pradesh Board of High School and Intermediate Education (or UP Board) concluded its Class 12 and Class 10 board exams on March 2. According to reports, the results for these exams are expected to be released before April 20.

This is much earlier than the date at which results were declared last year. The exams for class 12 and class 10 exams commenced on February 7 and concluded on the first week of month. This is a commendable achievement for any state board. According to UP Board, around 8,354 schools have appeared for exams from 58,06,922 students.

The UP Board this time have tried to make examinations copying free by installing CCTV cameras along with voice recorders at examination centres. 448 examination centres had been categorised as hyper-sensitive from a total of 1,314 examination centres according to UP education ministry officials.   According to a report of a leading newspaper, 6,52,881 students skipped examinations this year due to steps implemented to curb malpractices during exams this year. Last year, about 11 lakh students skipped UP Board examinations. For this, the board had claimed that students didn’t appear due to strictness in implementing steps against cheating mafia.
