18 Girls Clear IIT-JEE Mains Under NTPC’s ‘Super 30 Girls’ Programme

18 out of 25 girls, that enrolled under NTPC’s ‘super 30 girls’ programme have successfully qualified for IIT JEE mains.

18 out of 25 girls, that enrolled under NTPC’s ‘super 30 girls’ programme have successfully qualified for IIT JEE mains. This programme was a part of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative of NTPC.    

The year-long residential programme helped in realizing the dream of students belonging to economically weaker families to study in India’s premiere institutes. As a part of this Centre for Social Responsibility and Leadership (CSRL) initiative, NTPC provides the entire cost of lodging, boarding, and coaching of these girl students that belong to underprivileged families.      

As part of this noble initiative, rolled out in association with the Centre for Social Responsibility and Leadership (CSRL), NTPC bears the entire cost of boarding, lodging and coaching for these girl students belonging to underprivileged families.

This initiative came when NTPC Northern Region Head Quarter in Lucknow and CSRL signed an MoU to jointly initiate 77.03 lakh program for 30 underprivileged girls. These girls were selected from the families living in the vicinity of NTPC plants in the northern region.     

The students during this period provided free lodging and eating facilities to students that were trained and imparted to sit for entrance examination (IIT/JEE/NIT) to help them in getting admission to the eminent institutes of our country.  The program that begin on 1st July 2018 has 25 girls studying at the ‘NTPC Super 30 Girl’ center in Varanasi at present. These students were chosen from various schools in Lucknow and Varanasi.
