The second day of the iconic Jaipur Music Stage opened with a refreshing mix of traditional and popular music at the festival’s cherished home Hotel Clarks Amer.

The second day of the iconic Jaipur Music Stage opened with a refreshing mix of traditional and popular music at the festival’s cherished home Hotel Clarks Amer, Jaipur on 20th January 2023. Following the musical extravaganza of opening evening, Day 2 of the Music Stage featured a coveted line-up of artistes, including the extraordinary folk music ensemble Rhythms of India featuring BC Manjunath, Darshan Doshi, Nathu Lal Solanki, Pramath Kiran, Praveen D Rao, Ned McGowan and Varijashree Venugopal and the trans-cultural musical factory of ideas Peter Cat Recording Company (PCRC).

Talking about the festival, Peter Cat Recording Co., said, “We are very excited to bring music to a space that encourages literary and creative thought outside the bounds of mainstream art and culture in India, and we’ll hopefully add a new dimension to this year’s Jaipur Literature Festival.” On performing at the Jaipur Music Stage 2023, Rhythms of India artist, BC Manjunath said, “Our main aim is to create melody through rhythms and rhythms through melody.

The group plays a wide variety of instruments and genres as we belong to the music traditions of Carnatic, Hindustani, Light Classical, Improvised Jazz, and World Music while embracing influences from many other music forms from around the world. It will be a unique experience with different emotions of music.” The Peter Cat Recording Co. (PCRC) left the audience stunned and stimulated as they concluded the Music Stage with a spectacular performance at the 2023 edition. People all across the globe attended the Festival and rejoiced in the diversity that the Jaipur Music Stage offers for all its attendees.
